Yoma Land Engineers in Action
One of the most immediate concerns after an earthquake is whether buildings are still safe to enter.
In the days following the earthquake in Myanmar, our Yoma Land Engineering Team travelled to Mandalay to support ongoing relief efforts. Their task was clear: assess structural safety, identify potential risks, and provide practical recommendations to help communities move forward with confidence.
The team continues to conduct building inspections – checking alignment, measuring cracks, and classifying which structures were safe for continued use, and which ones needed further investigation or strengthening.
They have also been reviewing non-structural elements like walls, ceilings and facades – often overlooked but just as critical when it comes to day-to-day safety.
This is one of Yoma Land’s way of contributing – by doing what we know best.
